Cymbidium Ensichlor is a primary hybrid between fragrant Cym. ensifolium and shy-blooming Cym. chloranthum. In this hybrid, the characteristic of being shy-blooming is completely removed, but the fragrance is well intact.

This remake was done by crossing a well-formed Cym. ensifolium from central Thailand with an awarded Cym. chloranthum 'Everglades' CHM/AOS. Some of the progeny have clean green flowers, and some exhibit reddish veins which make the bloom look salmon in colour.

Interestingly, Cym. Ensichlor is free-blooming and will bloom at any time in tropical climates. In mediteranean climates, the plant keeps blooming throughout the summer. This hybrid is quite compact and vigorous.
