Pakkret Floriculture

Cymbidium Pakkret Horizon is a novelty primary hybird missing from many earlier cymbidium hybridizers. It is a cross between C. ensifolium subsp. haematodes and C. insigne subsp. saidenfadenii from northeastern Thailand.

C. Pakkret Horizon has an attractive oriental appearance because of its neat foliage. Many pinkish flowers are held well above its foliage, yielding the plant a regal look. This plant usually blooms between December to February in Bangkok. It needs a little cool pronounce, therefore it might not be suitable for growers in the strictly equatorial zones.
