Cymbidium Promised Land is an example of a complex HTC. It has both C. ensifolium hybrids, C. Korintji and C. Peter Pan in its parent and grandparent levels. Interstingly, there is an injection of rarely used species, C. chloranthum, accounting for 25%, in this hybrid. This means that the heat tolerance of C. Promised Land is derived from C. ensifolium and C. chloranthum.

Flowers are in greenish yellow with good substance. The hybrid has a regular and brief blooming season between October to December. The bloom also has a slightly sweet fragrance.
