Cymbidium Saiburi is a truly lovely primary hybrid between Cym. madidum from tropical Australia and a rare species, Cym. munronianum, possibly from Laos. There are numerous smallish fragrant flowers on an upright spike.

Saiburi is a historical name of a town within the former Pattani Sultanate under Siam Kingdom. The town was an important commercial sea post located on Saiburi river. Saiburi itself means 'City of Riverine'. At present it is a district within Pattani Province in southern Thailand.

Cym. Saiburi is a vigorous smallish hybrid with high heat tolernace. The plant can bloom well in all tropical zones, even the equatorial areas.
