Cymbidium Tender Love is a primary cross between C. sanderae (parishii) and C. ensifolium, made by Milton Carpenter. Though this hybrid itself deos not have a spectacular look, its progeny often exeed its standard as the big lip of C. sanderae (parishii) always shows up prominently. Other several desirable traits derived from C. sanderae (parishii) are floriferousness and the relatively large bloom compared to its manageble plant size.
C. Tender Love has a great willingness to spike but bud drop occurs when the plant initiates spikes out of the winter season in Bangkok.
