Grammatocymbidium Lovely Melody |
|
Grammatocymbidium Lovely Melody is an intergeneric hybrid between C. ensifolium subsp. haematodes of Thailand and Gram. scriptum var. citrinum (an albinistic variety) of the Philippines. The result is a vigorous plant with great willingness to flower in the tropics.

Its upright inflorescence contains numerous fragrant flowers. The blooms are greenish yellow in colour with fine reddish dots. Plus, the flowers have a good lasting quality.

The C. ensifolium trait of terrestrail roots well dominates the Gram. scriptum epiphytic roots, therefore this hybrid must be grown in a pot, not in a basket.

Gramcym. Lovely Melody can bloom year round in Bangkok. When grown as a big specimen, the plant will produce a spectacular bloom.
